Staff computers, on startup, display the following Fair Use Policy that staff members must abide by:
"This computer is the property of Delta Environmental Consulting. This computer is provided to staff on which to perform their daily duties subject to the following Fair Use Policy.
The installation of any software (outside of that already provided) on to this machine without the approval of the Owner or IT Administrators is strictly prohibited. This is ensure that Delta Enironmental does not inadvertantly contravene any copyright or licencing issues.
The storage of any Personal Data or Multimedia files upon the local hard drive is also prohibited. Any files found to be outside the scope of normal operation shall be deleted by the IT administrators without warning. The health and state of the local hard drive of this machine will be checked periodically by the IT Administrators.
The storage of all data relating to the Business workings of Delta Environmental shall not be stored upon the local hard drive for any purpose. All data relating to Delta Envrionmental shall be stored upon the main network computer in the appropriate data directory. This is to ensure that the data relating to Delta Environmental is both secure and protected from potential data loss.
No employee shall disable or otherwise interfere with the working of any security software (anti-virus, firewall, spam-blockers, anti-penetration software, etc) that has been installed on this computer by the IT Administrators.
Any other storage/modification or installation of software not covered by this fair use policy is strictly prohibited without the approval of the Owner or IT Administrators.
Disiplinary action may result for any breach of the above Fair Use Policy.
