Soil & Water Testing

Delta provides the Adelaide Plains and Southern Lofty Regions with an economical local soil and water testing service. We can analyse soil, surface waters, ground waters and air for a small range of chemical, biological and microbiological parameters. We are able to undertake other tests if the order is for at least 20 samples, so please contact us with your requirements if the tests you need are not listed below. Please note the methods we have available and the minimum detection limits for the tests we offer. We do not offer ICP-OES, MS or AAS methods.
Delta offers a fixed fee structure for laboratory testing where samples are delivered to the laboratory at St Kilda. Please feel free to courier samples for testing to: 12 Beach Road, St Kilda, SA 5110. Attach a printed copy of Delta's Order Form to the sample container. You may also wish to submit a copy of the form electronically prior to despatching the samples by courier.
Information on sample collection and handling is provided online to ensure that you obtain meaningful results. If you have any queries about sampling methodology or appropriate transport containers, please ring the office on the numbers provided on the Contact Us page. Please note that we are located in South Australia and biological samples will need to arrive and be processed in our laboratories within 24 hours of your collecting them to maintain analytical credibility.
Tests marked with an asterisk * may have a requirement for a minimum number of samples - ring for confirmation.
Our consultants can arrange to visit your site to undertake sampling to meet your requirements. This is particularly advisable where sampling cross-contamination is an issue, or for specialist sampling such as microbial air quality. Note that some tests have minimum detection limits that may exceed your requirements. This may be a particular problem if you provide highly saline samples that require dilution prior to analysis. If you are unsure of whether the methods listed below will meet your needs or are suitable for your sample, please ring and discuss this with the analyst.
